Meridith LaVelle at RightsCon's Conference

We are excited to announce that Meridith LaVelle will be on a panel at RightsCon's virtual conference running from September 22–23. The session focuses on prison as a feminist issue and they will be discussing how understudied the topic is. They will discuss the need for data to advocate for humane conditions and outcomes for incarcerated women to ensure governments are fulfilling their obligations to the Bangkok Rules and other international legal obligations. They will talk about some paths forward to begin addressing how they can begin documenting and monitoring women's incarcertation .
