This study examined how people decide what to restudy when learning. The results show that learners use multiple cues (e.g., how frequent a word is, how imageable it is, or in what format it is presented), but less consistently than when judging their own learning. Overall, study decisions are more variable and influenced by additional factors, suggesting that people do not always act in line with how they judge their own learning.
