International degree-seeking students have the opportunity to pursue innovative programs at the School of Social Sciences that regularly achieve excellent positions in university rankings. In the 2018 Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking, for example, the University of Mannheim has been ranked number 1 in Germany for the Social Sciences. In addition, Mannheim students learn and live around one of the largest baroque palaces in Europe. Students at the University of Mannheim also experience an atmosphere of internationality. One in five students comes to Mannheim from abroad.
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides a wide range of information for international students on its website, including information on scholarships. The DAAD has also published special brochures for international students and their parents.
If you have any subject-specific questions about studying abroad, such as questions regarding the selection of courses and registration, please contact the departmental exchange coordinators at the School of Social Sciences.
