Mannheim psychologist Sabine Sonnentag among the most cited scientists worldwide

Sonnentag's work in the field of work and organizational psychology is attracting a great deal of interest worldwide: Her 189 publications, which are listed in Clarivate's “Web of Science”, have been cited over 10,000 times to date.

The “Highly Cited Researchers” list includes the most internationally cited researchers in 20 disciplines in the natural, life and social sciences as well as in the “Cross-Field” category. To be included in this prestigious list, researchers must present so-called “Highly Cited Papers”. These studies are among the most highly cited publications in their field and year of publication. The citation frequency is an important indicator of the scientific influence of a publication.
In addition to citation activity, a qualitative analysis and expert assessments are also included in the evaluation. Publications from 2013 to 2023 were evaluated for the current list.

Impressive research achievement
Sonnentag's work in the field of work and organizational psychology has attracted a great deal of interest worldwide: Her 189 publications, which are listed in Clarivate's “Web of Science”, have been cited over 10,000 times to date.
At the University of Mannheim, Sonnentag is investigating how work can be designed to promote employee performance while minimizing health risks. Her research focuses on dealing with stress in the workplace, the importance of regeneration and the individual characteristics and behaviors that help people to successfully cope with professional demands.
