Prof. Dr. Marc Debus has been awarded the University of Mannheim's Teaching Prize for the 2023/24 academic year. In his teaching, he combines theoretical concepts with current political events and conveys quantitative methodological approaches in a clear and practical manner. In doing so, he not only arouses interest in political systems and their development, but also encourages his students' spirit of research by giving them space for independent projects with unpublished data. Prof. Dr. Thorsten Meiser has been awarded the University of Mannheim's Teaching Prize for the 2023/24 academic year. His courses impress with their didactic clarity, comprehensibility and high degree of interactivity. He conveys complex psychological methodology content in a structured, lively and humorous manner – always accompanied by audio recordings for follow-up work and opportunities for questions. With his dedication, he not only succeeds in engaging students academically, but also in inspiring them to take an interest in statistical methods. Prof. Dr. Lena Nadarevic was awarded the University of Mannheim Teaching Prize for the 2021/22 academic year. The award was presented by Prof. Kehnel during the University Day celebrations. In the laudatory speech, her teaching was praised as ‘proper – organised, structured and clearly understandable – and at the same time extraordinary – innovative and highly committed’.
