Since the fall/winter term 2012, Prof. Dr. Marc Debus holds the Chair of Political Science, Comparative Government.

The research and teaching focus is on a comparative perspective of political systems and particularly on the comparison of coalition theory, political parties, party competition, political institutions and legislation as well as electoral and democracy research.
