With their clear focus on analytical-empirical research and teaching, our social sciences programs have their unique profile and strengths. All programs offered by the School of Social Sciences are strongly influenced by the School’s research profile and are clearly geared towards applied quantitative methods. We maintain close ties with research institutions that are part of or affiliated with the university, such as the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES), the GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, and the Collaborative Research Center 884. Thanks to these cooperations and to external funding, we can provide our researchers and students with myriad opportunities to take part in research projects.
