Credit for Research Participation
All students of psychology take part in studies and experiments carried out by the chairs and their fellow students. This way, they will get to know the diverse and interesting research in the field of psychology in Mannheim.
You complete research participation credit (Vpn) regardless of whether you study psychology as a major or as a minor.
- Students who study psychology as a major have to complete at least 30 hours of research as participants during their studies.
- Students who study psychology as a minor have to complete at least 10 hours of research as participants during their studies.
- B.A. Sociology students who wish to choose the advanced module Social Psychology must complete 5 hours of research as participants before registering for the examination in the 4th semester.
For information on the participation management system Sona and the crediting of the research participation, see the following sections. Please note that the documents are primarily for our students and therefore in German.
