Theater Performances and Concerts in May

The semester concert of the University Orchestra takes place on two days: On Sunday, 11 May at 5 p.m. and on Monday, 12 May at 8 p.m. The program includes Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 and Bruch's Violin Concerto in G minor. The orchestra is conducted by Manus O'Donnell. More information
The following day, 13 May, the big band of the University of Mannheim will play its semester concert at 8 p.m. at Klapsmühl’ am Rathaus. The College Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Jochen Welsch, will play a varied program with classical and modern Jazz, Swing, and Funk compositions. This includes jazz classics and modern jazz compositions as well as self-composed works. On 20 May, the University Choir invites you to its concert in the Aula of the University of Mannheim. The choir of 80 singers is conducted by Jürgen Weisser. More information will follow soon.
The diverse cultural program this semester is rounded off by the Mannheim University Theater. Over three days, the Mannheim University Theater will be performing “HAMLET RELOADED”, a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's famous drama: The premiere will take place on 22 May at 6.30 p.m. at the Abendakademie. Further performances are on 23 May at 6.30 pm and 24 May at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are available in the Campus Shop (from 5 May). The theater is directed by Christine Heinzel. More information
