Website and Intranet Design Update

For the past few months, the web team, consisting of web developers, a brand manager, and the online editorial team, has been focused on updating the design of various elements of the website. As always, these elements remain rooted in the university's established Corporate Design. Schools will continue to use their distinct color pallets.
Why Consider a Redesign?
- To Stay Modern and Keep Our Competitive Edge: Following our 2017 relaunch, the most recent upkeep on specific elements took place in 2020. Five years down the line, it is evident that we have to modify and refine our design. Establishing a contemporary online presence is essential for ensuring our competitiveness against other universities and higher education institutions.
- Improved Mobile User Experience: The new elements have been enhanced specifically for smartphones and tablet devices.
- Unified Look: We are now making use of the whole width available on the screen. In this updated design, all elements are uniform in size. The end result: a refined and more cohesive look.
- Improved Accessibility: We were able to upgrade various components concerning accessibility, like tables.
The total count of TYPO3 pages is extensive, featuring nearly 17,500 pages on the internet and an additional 950 pages within the Intranet. That is why we aimed to ensure that the redesign would require minimal editorial involvement. We have provided every TYPO3 editor with an email that outlines important information.
