New Information Security Policy at the University of Mannheim

The President's Office has issued a university-wide policy on information security. This policy establishes the legal framework for protection against cyberattacks and applies to all members of the University as well as to external third parties who handle university data.

Cyberattacks targeting universities are on the rise across Germany. In order to protect the University to the greatest extent possible, the President's Office, the Information Security Team, and UNIT are continuously working to minimize the risk of information security incidents and to limit potential damage in case of emergency.

The new policy establishes the legal framework for information security management and underscores the vital importance of university data for the long-term success of the University of Mannheim.

Contact: If you have any questions about the policy or other information security issues, Chief Information Security Officer Frederik Krist and the Information Security Team are available to assist you.
