At this year's graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Social Sciences (2021), Maria Schlüter received the Hans Albert Award for the best bachelor thesis in sociology. The prize was donated and awarded by the “Rationale Altruisten Mannheim e.V”. Hans Albert held the chair of sociology and science from 1963 to 1989 and his scientific approach of testing theories empirically and analytically with quantitative methods has significantly influenced the School of Social Sciences at the University of Mannheim.
