Making Commuting More Sustainable: University Launches Survey

The University of Mannheim aims to make commuting for its staff more climate-friendly. A brief survey is expected to provide valuable data toward this goal. All university members are invited to share their opinions and help shape the future of commuting.

For many employees of the University of Mannheim, commuting is an essential part of daily work life. To make the journey to work more environmentally friendly, a working group led by the Office of the Vice-President for Sustainability is analyzing commuting behaviors. This survey will provide a well-founded basis, going beyond previous estimates, for implementing concrete measures.

Climate-Friendly Commuting Alternatives

All university members are encouraged to participate in the anonymous survey. It takes about three minutes to complete and will help the university develop suitable infrastructure improvements, fulfilling its social responsibility as an employer.
