The Compliance Department of the Ministry of Science, Research, and the Arts (MWK) has introduced a value limit for accepting rewards, gifts, and other benefits (collectively referred to as gratuities) and has clarified the rules for accepting scientific awards. These updates are now also applicable at the University of Mannheim and supplement the existing regulations.

Accepting gifts in daily professional interactions is a sensitive issue. To prevent corruption while simplifying the handling of such gratuities, the MWK has updated the previously existing rules. Detailed explanations of all regulations can be found in the accompanying circular of the Legal Division.
