CDSB Alumna Dr. Theresa Bührle appointed Assistant Professor at NHH

From Berlin to Bergen – A new chapter begins for Dr. Theresa Bührle as she joins the Norwegian Center for Taxation, part of the Department of Business and Management Science at the Norwegian School of Economics. In Bergen, Theresa will focus her research on the intersection of taxation and industrial organization/environment. In her academic work, she applies empirical archival methods to investigate the impact of tax law on innovation and the economy.

Regarding her new position, she stated that she is looking forward to continuing her academic journey with old and new colleagues at NHH.

Theresa completed her doctorate at the Graduate School's Center for Doctoral Studies in Business, where she specialized in corporate tax research. Her dissertation on Losses in tax law: an analytical and empirical investigation for Europe contributed to the understanding of how tax law influences firms in loss positions and economies in crisis. As an alumna, Dr. Bührle's career illustrates the strong academic foundation, curiosity and international perspective defining our community.
