Prof. Dr Markus Werning (Ruhr University Bochum) will give a lecture entitled ‘Beyond compositionality: How probabilistic expectations shape semantic representations in language comprehension’.

The first cohort of the Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) invites you to a series of lectures in April and May 2026. Five guest lectures will bring together interdisciplinary perspectives from linguistics, psychology, computer science and philosophy to explore key questions regarding the emergence, representation and application of knowledge in human and artificial systems.
