Cafeteria EO: New Logo Unveiled – Opening in a Few Weeks

After nearly five years of renovations, the EO cafeteria in the Ehrenhof at the University of Mannheim is set to reopen its doors in the next weeks. The new logo was unveiled by President Prof. Thomas Puhl in the Ehrenhof Ost arcades, symbolizing a fresh start for this beloved campus spot.

The cafeteria, run by the Studierendenwerk Mannheim since 1955 and rebranded as EO in 2005, has undergone a complete makeover as part of the larger modernization of the Ehrenhof Ost. Sustainability was at the heart of the renovation, with energy-efficient kitchen equipment and natural wood furnishings creating a more eco-friendly environment.

With seating for up to 200 people and a versatile mix of cafeteria, bar, and lounge spaces, EO is poised to once again become a central hub on campus. It’s not just a spot for students and staff but also a welcoming place for guests from outside the university. The Studierendenwerk will announce the exact reopening date in the coming weeks.
