Dr. Selim Yaman and Tilo Schütz join the group

This fall we welcomed two new researchers to our group!

Dr. Selim Yaman has joined us as a Post-Doctoral researcher in August 2024, coming from the American University at Washington D.C. where he completed his PhD specializing in text analysis methods within political science. He is currently collaborating with Prof. Marc Ratkovic on research utilizing large language models to address challenges in survey methodology.

In September Tilo Schütz has joined the group as a research assistant. Currently enrolled in the Mannheim Master in Data Science program, his research focuses on leveraging Large Language Models to enhance the quality of scientific writing. Recently, he has been supporting experimental setups as well as managing and processing research data.
