Checklist for your participation in the 2025 graduation ceremony

To ensure that you can relax and enjoy the celebration, we have compiled the most important points for you here.

Before the celebration

  • Date noted?
    Date: 26 June 2025
    Admission from 15:00 p.m., start of the celebration: 15:30 p.m.
  • Location known?
    Venue: Castle, Schneckenhof Ost, Room SO 108 
    Campus map
  • Dress code noted?
    Recommendation: festive, casual chic; you are welcome to bring a gown for photos afterwards.
  • Contest participation?
    Testimonial question answered.
    Note: The best testimonial per department will be awarded.

Arrival & Access


For accompanying persons

  • Seating policy (free seating/reservation)?
    Free seating applies.
  • Children welcome / childcare available / quiet areas available?
    Children are welcome free of charge. 
    Outside the lecture hall, however, there are quiet areas in the hallway and foyers where children or people who need peace and quiet can retreat.

Photos & Memories

  • Own photos allowed? 
    You may take photos during the entire ceremony. However, we ask you to remain seated during the ceremony.
  • Official photos by the organizer? 
    Photos will be taken during the ceremony, which you will receive later via our website. After the ceremony, you will have the opportunity to take photos in the photo box in the Hays Forum.

Reception & catering

  •  Will there be a reception (champagne reception / buffet)?
    After the ceremony, there will be a champagne reception with finger food, sesame rings, pretzels and puff pastries.
  • Vegetarian / vegan / allergies considered? 
    All dishes are vegetarian. Allergens and vegan dishes are labeled accordingly.
  • Are alcoholic drinks available?  
    Sparkling wine, orange juice and water are served. 

Other information

  • Will certificates be awarded on site or sent separately? 
    Decorative certificates will be awarded at the ceremony as provisional certificates. You will receive your official degree certificate with final grade by post from the Student Office. If you are unable to attend at short notice, we will be happy to send you your decorative certificate by post.
