Viktoriia Semenova is a Ph.D. student in political science at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Mannheim. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at St. Petersburg State University and Bard College, majoring in International Relations and Politics. During her Master studies, Viktoriia was a student assistant at the American Political Science Review and gained research experience by working for the Chairs of Political Economy and Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences. Currently, Viktoriia works as a research associate at the Chair of Political Economy at the University of Mannheim. Viktoriia's research interests lie in the intersection of political methodology and the politics of information, with a specific focus on methods of automated content analysis. Substantively, Viktoriia is interested in the politics of propaganda and other forms of information manipulation in non-democratic regimes.
