Profile
Using rigorous research methods to investigate substantive questions of interest is the principal goal of academic staff at the Chair of Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS) in the department of political science. The research activities at QMSS cover a wide range of substantive areas. Recent projects have included research in the areas of electoral behavior, public opinion, political psychology, constitutional politics and political methodology. Currently we are involved in a new forecasting project, Zweitstimme.org, to predict the outcome of federal elections. Read more about the research projects and researchers at the Chair.
The Chair of Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences offers regular courses on research design, data collection and quantitative research methods. More information on our teaching can be found here.
