Oke Bahnsen is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS) at the University of Mannheim and a research associate at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). He holds both a Master’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Economics/
His substantial research focuses on coalition politics and electoral behavior, where he is especially interested in pre-electoral coalition politics and how it affects electoral behavior. He is also interested in quantitative and computational methods, particularly in agent-based models which he utilizes, e.g., in order to study party competition and opinion dynamics.
