Chair for Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Aging

Credit: Tobias Roth
Prof. Dr. Beatrice G. Kuhlmann (she/her)
Headed by Prof. Dr. Beatrice G. Kuhlmann, our chair conducts research on various forms of memory and how memory processes change with healthy aging. In addition to objective memory performance, we are also interested in subjective metamemory, which is how well people can monitor and control their memory. Our research reveals various aspects of memory performance that can be improved even in older age, for example via strategies. In teaching, we cover developmental psychology across the life span and various aspects of experimental psychology.
On our website, we gladly inform you about our chair, current research and provide information for students.
