As Councilor at the Peace Science Society, Sabine Carey will be participating in their annual conference at the University of Michigan, 7–9 November 2024. She will also present a collaborative project with Eline Drury Løvlien and Marie-Therese Meye.

On 7 September 2024 the University of Mannheim's annual Schlossfest took place. Sabine Carey gave a short talk on “Der lange Schatten eines Konfliktes: (K)ein Gefühl der Sicherheit für alle?” as part of the Science Marathon.

Sabine Carey redete mit ca. 80 Jugendlichen von Gymnasien aus der Rhein-Neckar Region über die Eskalation von Kriegen, wieso es zu Kriegen kommt und wie man das Risiko von Kriegsausbrüchen verringern kann. Die Vorlesung war Teil der Aktion “Mehr WISSENschaft” der Universität Mannheim.

Sabine Carey has been voted onto the Council of the Peace Science Society. Her four-year term starts in the summer 2024.
