Johann-Friedrich Salzmann (Joff) is a researcher and academic staff member at the MZES and the Chair of Quantitative Methods. He obtained M.P.P. Master of Public Policy and M.Sc. Data Science for Public Policy degrees from the Hertie School, Berlin. Joff is a passionate Bayesian modeller with an emphasis on multi-level simplex models for categorical survey data. His current research focuses on measuring, modelling, and understanding short-term shifts in voters' electoral preferences using high-frequency panel data.
