The reorganised research program of the Department of Clinical and Biological Psychology aims to clarify abnormal emotional processes in mental illnesses. Main approaches can be summarized as followed:
Integration of basic (laboratory experimental psychopathology) and application-oriented research (psychotherapy research)
Combining neuroscientific and social science methods
Investigation of different processing levels (e.g. self-report, behaviour and physiological processes)
