Ryan Block is a PhD candidate at Rice University in the Department of Political Science. He holds an M.A. from Rice University in Political Science and a B.S. in Political Science from Texas A&M University. At Rice, he has worked as a research assistant for Randy Stevenson, Erik Peterson, and Michelle Torres, as well as a teaching assistant for graduate-level quantitative methods courses including introductory statistics, maximum likelihood estimation, and causal inference. His research interests are in comparative politics and political behavior, with a focus on partisan identity and political parties.
