New publication on autocratic cooperation networks at the UN by Cosima Meyer and Dennis Hammerschmidt

Cosima Meyer's and Dennis Hammerschmidt's (both University of Mannheim) new publication A Pledged Community? Using Community Detection to Analyze Autocratic Cooperation in UN Co-sponsorship Networks analyzes autocratic cooperation networks at the example of UNGA co-sponsorship. Using the Leiden algorithm and a multi-class random forest classification model, they identify community clusters of states that are more likely to cooperate and show that states’ regime type is associated with these cooperation clusters in UNGA co-sponsorship networks.

The publication appears in the proceedings of the highly distinguished Complex Networks conference — Complex Networks & Their Applications IX — which covers cutting-edge research in the field of network science both for researchers and practitioners.
