Marie-Therese Meye is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences at the University of Mannheim in Germany.
In her dissertation, Marie-Therese Meye studies the dynamics of political violence in democracies with a particular focus on the role of politicians in these processes. Her research interests also include spatial dynamics of post-conflict violence and policing in post-conflict contexts. In her research, she combines quantitative methods for causal identification with observational and survey data, and fieldwork.
Her work is published in the Journal of Peace Research, Peacebuilding, and The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Peace and Conflict Studies.
