The Professorship of Sociology, Societal Comparisons, offers courses in the bachelor's and master's program, as well as the doctoral program.

In fall semesters, the chair regularly offers the lecture “Germany's Social Structure in International Comparison”. This lecture focuses on the development of social, household, and family structure, as well as social inequality and social mobility. Especially with regard to education, employment, and occupation, as well as income distribution and wealth development.

Several other lectures, seminars, and exercises are offered by the chair, mainly covering topics in societal comparison and migration sociology.

Courses in the Master's Program in Sociology are held in english.
