Profile
Stefan Höller studied Political Science and History at the University of Vienna. He successfully completed his Master’s degree in Political Science at the University of Gothenburg. During his graduate studies, he worked as a research assistant in the INTRAPARTY project led by Prof. Ann-Kristin Kölln at the University of Gothenburg, where he studied party organizations and internal party conflict. Since September 2026, he is a doctoral candidate at the Gradudate School of Economics and Social Science and academic staff member at the Professorship for Political Science, Comparative Government (Prof. Marc Debus).
His research interests include political parties, political behavior, intra-party politics, and multi-level political systems. In his master’s thesis, he used a survey experiment to investigate how disagreement between national and regional party organizations affects partisan cue-taking. His methodological interests include quantitative methods, survey experiments, and computational approaches to political science. In his doctoral research he will continue investigating the causes and effects of party politics in multi-level systems.
