Olga Stavrova received a Ph.D. from the University of Cologne (Germany) in 2012. Before joining the University of Mannheim, she has worked as Associate Professor at the Department of Social psychology at the University of Tilburg (Netherlands) and as Professor of Psychological Health at the University of Lübeck. 

Olga studies psychological well-being and health, cynicism and trust, and social relationships. She uses a variety of methodological approaches, including online- and lab-experiments, cross-national surveys, longitudinal and intensive longitudinal designs, dyadic and linguistic analyses, and Big Data.

Olga's work has been distinguished with the Rising Star Award from the Association of Psychological Science and is featured in many media outlets, including articles in the Harvard Business Review, the Times, Huffington Post and more.
