To ensure a good student-to-supervisor ratio, a new selection process for bachelor's thesis topics will be implemented in the Chairs of Social Psychology and Microsociology (Stavrova) and Comparative Cultural Social (Gebauer) starting in October 2026.

If you are interested, please contact the chair's secretariat (nina.griesbach@uni-mannheim.de) by October 15 (for theses in the following spring semester) or by April 15 (for theses in the following fall semester). Please also indicate which chair you would like to write your bachelor's thesis in.

All applicants will be invited to a Zoom meeting where all available topics will be presented, requirements and procedures discussed, and questions answered. Following this, you will have 1–2 weeks to select three topics and enter them (indicating your priorities) into a cloud-based document. The link will be provided.

After the matching process (possibly by lottery if there are too many applications), you will be informed about your topic and your supervisor.
