Prof. Dr. Beatrice Rammstedt

Beatrice Rammstedt is professor of Psychological Assessment, Survey Design and Methodology at the University of Mannheim since 2011 and scientific director of the department Survey Design and Methodology at GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences. In 2015 she became Vice-President of GESIS. Beatrice Rammstedt studied psychology at the Universities of Bielefeld, Paris-Nanterre and UC Berkeley, received her doctorate in 2000 at the Georg-August University Göttingen, and habilitated at the University of Mannheim in 2007.

Research focus:

  • questionnaire design and validation
  • non-cognitive scales
  • methodology of cultural comparative large-scale studies
