Professor for Psychological Assessment, Survey Design and Methodology

Prof. Dr. Beatrice Rammstedt
Beatrice Rammstedt has been Professor of Psychological Diagnostics, Survey Design and Methodology at the University of Mannheim since 2011. Since 2024, she has headed the GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences as Vice President together with the President, where she previously worked for many years as Deputy President and Head of the Survey Design & Methodology Department. She studied psychology at the University of Bielefeld with stays at the Universities of Paris-Nanterre and UC Berkeley, obtained her doctorate at the Georg-August University of Göttingen in 2000 and habilitated at the University of Mannheim in 2007. Her research achievements were recently recognized by the prestigious Alfred-Binet Prize.
