    Lion Behrens is a research associate at the Chair of Social Data Science and the Chair of Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences and a PhD student at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Social and Behavioral Sciences. He holds a Master of Science in Methodology and Statistics from the University of Utrecht and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Bremen. During his studies he spent research stays at the Latin American Social Science Institute (FLACSO) in Quito, Ecuador and the Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences (GESIS) in Mannheim.

    He has worked on the statistical detection of election fraud, Bayesian statistics, election integrity and parliamentary behavior. Since 2022, he is developing and teaching courses on Data Analysis and R Programming in B.A. and M.A. programs at the University of Mannheim.
