New publication on electoral-integrity beliefs among political elites
In our research and teaching at the Chair of Political Sociology we focus on the role of citizens in modern democracies. We investigate research questions in the areas of political attitudes and political behavior, especially electoral behavior and other forms of political participation. We have a special interest in forms and effects of political communication. We do not only look at individual characteristics, but also at diverse contexts in which citizens are embedded. In addition to networks in everyday life (e.g. family, friends or neighbours), these are small-scale socio-geographical or even national units. We also examine how information from diverse organized communicators, such as the media or election campaigns, reaches and is processed by citizens.
