After having been interim professor at the Chair of Macrosociology at Mannheim University from February 2018 to December 2021, Prof. Katja Möhring is again assistant professor for the Sociology of the Welfare State at Mannheim University, a position that she had taken over in 2015. Besides, she is director of diverse research projects at the Collaborative Research Center SFB 884 “Political Economy of Reforms” and at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). After her studies of Social Sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin and her dissertation at the University of Cologne, she was research associate at the SOCIUM Research Center on Inequality and Social Policy of the University of Bremen from 2013 to 2015.
