Veronika Lerche is Assistant Professor for Research Methods with Specialization in Statistical Modeling of Psychological Processes. Her main research field is the modeling of decision tasks with diffusion model analyses. She examines the applicability (e.g., reliability, validity, required trial number) and expansion of this model class. Furthermore, she analyzes in which areas of psychology sequential sampling models like the diffusion model contribute to a better understanding of the processes underlying the tasks. Here, she focuses on questions from the areas of motivational psychology (project funded by the German Research Foundation with the topic: “Implicit Motives: Using Diffusion Modeling to Assess Effects of Motive Frustration on Cognitive Processes“) and stereotype research (Postdoctoral Fellowship for Leading Early Career Researchers of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung with the topic “Diffusion modeling in stereotype research.”).
