This colloquium aims at supporting bachelor students in conceptualizing and writing their final thesis.

Monday, 31 March 2014: registration for BA thesis

Monday, 12 May 2014: deadline for submission of BA thesis.

Wednesday 13:30 to 15:00, Seminar Room Parkring 47 (1st Floor).

  • 12 March: Introduction
  • 19 March: Finalizing research question
  • 9 April: Discussion of progress & problems: Theoretical Arguments
  • 30 April: Discussion of progress & problems: Methodology and Case Selection
  • 7 May: Final discussion

Important information:

To ensure students are in the best possible position to start their research at the time of registration, students considering participating in this colloquium need to submit a short (1-3 pages) outline of their possible research question and research strategy by 1 March. Potential dissertation topics include repression, human rights, civil war, foreign aid, and post-conflict research.
