BA Dissertation Colloquium: International Relations
Instructor: Dr. Paulina Pospieszna
This colloquium aims at supporting BA students in conceptualizing and writing their dissertations.
Recommended for: BA students, 6. Semester
Registration: The colloquium is held only in the Spring Semester, and attendance is mandatory (2 ECTS points). Please register via Student Portal.
All participants are required to submit the application form for the BA dissertation. Please contact the instructor in order to obtain the form.
Scope and Language: The dissertation should be written in English and should not exceed a maximum amount of 10 000 words.
Grading: The dissertation will be graded on regular basis (1,0 – 1,3 – 1,7 – 2,0 etc.)

Important dates for the BA thesis:
Tuesday, 26 March 2013: registration for BA thesis
Monday, 13 May 2013: deadline for submission of BA thesis.

This course will be held as a blocked seminar on the following days:

Thursday 18.04.2013, 12:00-15:15, Room B 6, 23-25 Bauteil A (Hörsaalgebäude) – A 1.03
Friday 19.04.2013, 08:30-10:00, Room A 5, 6 Bauteil B – B 317
as well as in form of individual consultations via e-mail and/or scheduled meetings
Schedule:
March 15: Discussion of possible research questions & research designs
April 18: Discussing parts of the dissertation
April 19: Discussion of progress & problems
All students need to submit a short (2-3 pages) outline of their possible research question and research strategy by March 8 via mail.
