Proseminar: The Politics of Human Rights (IB)

Course Description:

This course will be taught in English. It offers an introduction to human rights related research in international relations by critically evaluating the most prominent theories and measurements. Among others, it will cover rationalist as well as structuralist explanations, and look at the relationship between political regimes, conflict, legal norms and foreign aid and the respect or disrespect for human rights.
