Christian Glaessel, Belén González and Anna-Lena Hönig are participating at the 59th International Studies Association (ISA) Annual Convention in San Francisco from April 4th – Saturday, April 7th, 2018.

Anna-Lena Hönig presents the papers “Fuzzy Shades of Terrorism: A Data-Driven Approach to Classifying the Diversity of Terrorist Attacks” (with Karim Bahgat) in the panel Data and Measurement, and “Which Dimensions of Effective Teaching Matter? The Causal Influence of Teaching Attributes in Student Evaluations of Teaching” (with Edgar Treischl) in the panel Theory and Practice in IR Teaching: Effectiveness, Political Engagement, and Active Learning. Anna-Lena participates in the Pay It Forward Workshop.

Belén González presents the paper “Determinants of Human Rights in Post-Conflict Societies” (with Prof. Sabine Carey) in the panel Protecting Human Rights During War or in Post-Conflict Societies.

Christian Glaessel presents the paper “Your Behavior Drives Me Mad: How (Non-)Violent Opposition Tactics Trigger Military Coups in Counterinsurgency Wars” (with Belén González and Adam Scharpf) in the panel on Civilians in Armed Conflicts. Both papers are part of the ERC project RATE (FP7/2007-2013/ERC Grant Agreement no 336019).
