Adam Scharpf will present his paper “Guerrilla Wars and Foreign Military Training” at the Jan Tinbergen Conference of The Network of European Peace Scientists (NEPS) which will be held on 26th-28th June 2017 at the University of Antwerp.

Members of the Chair will be presenting the following papers in the upcoming 7th Annual General Conference of the European Political Science Association (EPSA) in Milan:

  • Sabine Carey and  Anita Gohdes: “Explaining the killings of journalists by state agents”
  • Sabine Carey and Belén González: “How to improve human rights in post-conflict settings: The role of accountability”
  • Katrin Paula and Christian Gläßel: “Sometimes less is more: Media censorship, news falsification, and dissatisfaction in 1989 East Germany”
  • Adam Scharpf:  “Ideology and state terror: How officer beliefs shaped repression during Argentina’s ‘Dirty War”

Additionally, Sabine Carey will be chairing the panel “New Approaches to Conflict Research”, and Katrin Paula the panel “Electoral Fraud”.
