Adam Scharpf is doing a research visit under the supervision of Professor Kristian S. Gleditsch at the University of Essex from 14.03.-22.03.2014. The research visit takes place within the “Short-Term Scientific Mission” funded by the European Network of Conflict Research (ENCoRe).

Ist das Boot denn wirklich voll? Macht und Migrationspolitik

Samstag, 15. März 2014 von 13:00 – 15:00 Uhr

Über 200 Millionen Menschen leben heute in einem anderen Land als ihrem Geburtsland. Die Gründe, die Menschen dazu bewegen, in ein anderes Land zu gehen, sind vielfältig und politische Verfolgung ist einer davon. Grundlegende Menschenrechte, sowie die gegenwärtige Asyl- und Einwanderungspolitik in der EU werden in diesem Seminar thematisiert und kritisch diskutiert. Die TeilnehmerInnen werden anschließend dazu aufgefordert, eine vorgegebene Position im Bezug auf Migration einzunehmen und diese durch Argumentation fundiert zu vertreten und zu verteidigen.
