Excursion to RAF Exhibition in Stuttgart

An excursion to the House of History Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart was organized for the participants of the Hauptseminar Transnational Networks: Resistance and Terrorism on Friday, 21.02.2014. A guided tour by curator Dr. Sabrina Müller through the special exhibition „RAF – Terror im Südwesten“ and the following discussion provided insight in the inner life of a terrorist group, its communication strategies and the reactions of state and society.

Visiting PhD Student from Johns Hopkins University

Yehonatan Abramson is a PhD student in the department of Political Science at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He has joined the University of Mannheim as an exchange student and a visiting lecturer for the spring semester. Broadly, he is interested in the dynamic interaction between identity and land. Specifically, he works on ethnic and religious conflict resolution and on state-diaspora practices. In Mannheim, he will be teaching a seminar titled: “Religion and World Politics”.
